As a member of a large artistic family, Leo Wong Loi Sing spent many years unobtusively searching for his own path. He experimented with form, coulor, materials and techniques. In the eighties, he moved away from realism creating instead sombre-coloured abstract works with organic forms which became increasingly fragmented. In 1991 he emerged onto the foreground. His recent works are more classical, displaying a move towards figuration and lighter, fuller colours. Alongside paintings, Wong Loi Sing also makes etchings, monoprints and drawings in pen and wax crayons.
